Day 1 of Africa Fashion Week, NY
Obaasema Top Five Designers

For the first time on July 15, New York City got to experience a fashion show like no other: eleven African designers taking over the runway! It was quite an experience and Obaasema was there to capture everything, from backstage activities and interviews with designers (grab our upcoming print issue for that) to the thrilling runway show!
There were colors, bold and fun designs. The grand opening of the runway was simply incredible: A model wrapped in African cloth and accessories stoically walked in with two male models behind her passing lily flowers!! See capture below and check out my rating of the top designers:
